This series of work is about people eating alone in neighborhoods around SVA: Shake Shack, Mike’s pizza, a Mexican restaurant, a deli and a Halal Cart. Embracing the diverse food culture in NYC, I paint with ink and watercolor to depict how New Yorkers tend to eat by themselves and enjoy their private time.

10 pieces of illustrations done for the American grown-up novel A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN. I focus on the main character, Francie and how she grows up from a shy girl to be an independent young woman.
